Over the last year or so, Derek Wolfson expressed an interest in leading rides. With that in mind, he has over the last few months been assigned roles, such as riding the sweep position.
On Sunday February 21, Derek successfully completed the Bicycle NSW Rider Leader course to become an accredited ride leader.
The coming months will see Derek taking on more ride leading responsibilities.
I’m certain that the rides BayBUG provides each week (free of charge), will be enhanced by Derek’s unique experience and abilities.
BayBUG is also grateful to volunteers Helia Wolfson (as an actor on the practical test) and David Martin (Master Ride Leader as an assessor), who pitched in on the day of the course and without which such a course would not be possible.
