Winter has arrived in Sydney with a sudden and surprising cool blast. Some riders say it’s the best time of year to ride: just rug up, dress in layers, wear long fingered gloves and toe covers on your shoes and you’ll be able to exercise without getting hot and bothered.
And you can sleep in. We start at 7:30am on Sundays during winter time.
This winter BayBUG is offering more Easy and Easy-Medium rides on Sunday than ever. If you want a slower pace, there will be rides to Lidcombe (12 June), Silverwater (17 July), two around Canada Bay municipality (5 June – East, 26 June – West) and to Marrickville (28 Aug).
A little further afield but at a moderate pace, we’ll be visiting good cafes on rides to the City (7 Aug), Bourke St Cycleway (24 July), Kirribilli (3 July), Dulwich Hill (10 July) and Parramatta (19 June).
For a faster pace and a longer ride, we’ll be doing the Seven Bridges Loop (17 June) and also venturing to Kurnell to spot the whales migrating to warmer waters (26 June), out to Liverpool and the Casula Art Gallery (31 July) and along the M7 cycleway (21 Aug).
