On February 17th 2013, a number of BayBUG members participated in the Ride Leader Course run by Bicycle NSW at Sydney Olympic Park. BayBUG had 3 members who attempted and achieved Ride Leader accreditation and these riders are now frequent leaders of BayBUG rides.
The Bicycle NSW Ride Leader Course provides skills that will improve the confidence and effectiveness of leading recreational rides. In order to participate in the course, you need to be a confident rider, ideally with some practical experience of the wide range of factors that can affect a group ride. You must also be over 18 and be a current member of Bicycle NSW.
