By Robert Goodwill
Our recent trip to Sri Lanka was lazily devoid of cycling, but I was reminded of what I wasn’t doing by this fine bike, the likes of which used to be the global standard. Available in black only and as heavy as a tank. The bike was one of many old relics to be found at the creeks side estate known as “Lunuganga”(salt creek), designed by the great Ceylonese tropical architect Geoffrey Bawa. Bawa was a bohemian and friend of the Australian artist Donald Friend who would have stayed at Lunuganga.
